WHEN: DURING A BULK OR CUT PHASE. WHY:Research has shown that 5 grams of BCAAS before exercise can potentially reduce soreness and aid in recovery. During periods of low calories and extended dieting I will take 5 grams of BCAAS in the morning upon waking and 5 grams during my training. I also follow up with an additional 5 grams of leucine post workout. During periods of bulking I only do 5 grams of BCAAS during training and 5 grams of leucine post workout.

WHEN: DURING INTENSE TRAINING SESSIONS WHY THIS BRAND:This is by far the best pre-workout I have used, the ingredients are just enough and not too much. It gives me a feeling of very sharp focus during training without raising my heart rate too much or making me feel spaced out or on edge. The last thing that was a deal maker for me is the added electrolytes. I usually always have problems with dehydration and cramping when I use a pre-workout and yes I drink 1.5 gallons of water a day and my diet is high in essential minerals. WHEN: ANYTIME WHY: I usually take 1 or 2 serving of protein a day. I do this for convenience and I actually enjoy the taste of a shake after I workout or in the AM. With my busy schedule I find it hard to hit my daily protein goal just eating and honestly sometimes I don't feel like eating or have the time to prepare a meal.
